Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) is crucial for modern society because it's the driving force behind technological advancements that shape how we live, work, and communicate. CSE professionals are essential in solving complex problems and driving innovation in diverse fields, including healthcare, transportation, and data security. The Department of Computer Science Engineering was established in the year 1999 and it is offering UG program in Computer Science Engineering with an intake of 60. The intake has been increased to 90 from the academic year 2012-13. As Digitalization surrounds the universe, Based upon the industry demand, the intake has been increased to 120 from the academic year 2024-25. It is also offering PG program M.E Computer Science Engineering with an intake of 18 from the academic year 2010-11. Computer Science and Engineering is unique due to its broad, interdisciplinary nature, its focus on innovation and creativity, and its ability to solve complex problems across various fields. It bridges theoretical concepts with practical applications, enabling professionals to develop cutting-edge technologies and solutions. The field's dynamic nature and constant evolution also contribute to its uniqueness.

Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

KAYNES TECHNOLOGY

Kaynes Technology is a leading electronics manufacturing and IoT solutions company headquartered in Mysuru, Karnataka. It was founded in 1988 and later incorporated as a public company in 2008.

  • Kaynes has launched a semiconductor OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly & Test) plant.
  • This plant produces millions of chips per day and supports India’s semiconductor mission.
  • It is one of India’s first major chip manufacturing projects.
  • It bridged the gap between theory and practice and improved technical knowledge.
  • It provided valuable insights into real-world industrial environments.

The industrial visit to Kaynes Technology India Limited in Karnataka was very useful and informative. We learned many new things about how electronic products are designed and manufactured in real industries.

The company staff explained the working process clearly and showed us different departments like production, testing, and quality control.

This visit helped us connect classroom knowledge with real-world applications. We also learned about teamwork, discipline, and industrial safety.

GOLDEN TEMPLE:

The Golden Temple in Coorg is a famous tourist place located in Bylakuppe, near Coorg. Its real name is Namdroling Monastery. It is one of the largest Tibetan monasteries in India and is known for its beautiful architecture and peaceful environment. Inside the temple, we saw large golden statues of Buddha and other important figures, which were very impressive.

This visit gave us knowledge about Tibetan traditions, religious practices, and the importance of peace and meditation.

During our industrial visit, we visited the Mysuru Palace, one of the most famous historical places in Karnataka. It is also known as the Amba Vilas Palace and was the residence of the Wadiyar Dynasty. The palace is well known for its beautiful architecture, which is a mix of Hindu, Muslim, Rajput, and Gothic styles.

Inside the palace, we saw decorated halls, royal furniture, paintings, and colorful glass ceilings, which showed the rich culture and heritage of the past. The palace looks very grand and attractive, especially with its detailed designs and carvings. We also learned about the history of the kings who ruled Mysuru.
