The Department of Management was established in the year 2006 with an intake of 60 and offers two year full time MBA programme affiliated to Anna University, approved by AICTE, New Delhi. Department of Management is committed to creating leaders and managers to the corporate world through its innovative programmes and emphasis is placed on holistic development of the students in order to prepare them to tackle complex business challenges and opportunities. The programme is meticulously planned keeping in mind the current industry requirements and aims in giving the decisive edge to meet the ever challenging market demands. In collaboration with Industries, the Department of Management organizes several programmes every year to fulfil the gap between industry expectations and the institute curriculum. The department has created a strong mentor mentee system to help the students successfully navigate their dreams and accomplish their personal and professional goals.

The department has a strong team of committed faculty members to develop the industry required skills through knowledge sharing, appropriate training and creating an enhanced environment for the students. The Department offers variety of electives like Finance, Marketing, Human Resource, and Operations, Business Analytics, Tourism Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management. To inculcate the best practices, the students regularly visit different renowned industries at various locations in India. Students are given leadership development intervention programmes to hone their interpersonal, team building and leadership skills. Engineering Knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science,engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

Conduct Investigations of complex problems: Use research based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.

Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate. the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
